Acceptable Use Policy

NxtBanking acceptable use policy: prohibited activities, fraud and misuse rules for AEPS, BBPS, recharge, payout and API users, and the consequences of breach.

1. Purpose

This Acceptable Use Policy sets out what you may and may not do when using NxtBanking Services. It applies to all users, including merchants, retailers, distributors, API customers and partners, and forms part of the Terms and Conditions.

2. You must

  • Use the Services only for lawful business purposes and for transactions you are permitted to carry out.
  • Complete accurate KYC and keep it up to date.
  • Obtain the consent required from your own customers, and give them the receipts, charges and complaint details required by the rules.
  • Use certified devices and keep your credentials, API keys and devices secure.
  • Follow the rules of RBI, NPCI, UIDAI, BBPS, telecom operators and our partner banks.
  • Report suspected fraud, security incidents and misuse to us immediately.

3. You must not

  • Use the Services for money laundering, terror financing, fraud, tax evasion, bribery or any illegal activity.
  • Carry out fictitious, circular or round-tripping transactions, or transactions to earn commissions without real customers.
  • Split or structure transactions to avoid limits or monitoring.
  • Allow another person or business to use your account, wallet or credentials (account-lending), or use someone else's.
  • Process transactions for sanctioned or prohibited persons, or for prohibited businesses such as unlicensed gambling, narcotics, illegal arms or adult content.
  • Capture, copy, store, share or misuse Aadhaar numbers, biometric data, card data, PINs or OTPs, or use cloned or artificial fingerprints.
  • Charge customers more than the amount and the fees disclosed and allowed, or refuse to give receipts.
  • Misrepresent yourself as NxtBanking, NPCI, a bank or a regulator, or claim approvals you do not hold.
  • Interfere with the Services: overload, scrape, reverse-engineer, probe or bypass security, introduce malware, or exploit bugs for gain.
  • Send spam or unlawful, defamatory, abusive or misleading communications through the Services.
  • Use the Services in a way that damages the reputation or the relationship of NxtBanking with its banks, NPCI, operators or regulators.

4. Monitoring

We monitor use of the Services to prevent misuse and to meet legal duties. We may review transactions, logs and activity, and ask for information and documents.

5. Consequences

If we find or reasonably suspect a breach, we may, without prior notice:

  • Reject, hold, reverse or freeze transactions and balances.
  • Reduce limits, suspend or terminate access.
  • Recover losses, chargebacks and penalties from you, including by set-off.
  • Report the matter to banks, NPCI, FIU-IND, law-enforcement agencies or regulators and cooperate with investigations.
  • Take civil and criminal action.

6. Reporting a violation

Report abuse or a suspected violation to legalteam@laraware.com. We treat reports as confidential.
